About the Event
Michael Otteson is an assistant professor in philosophy at Utah State University. He received his PhD from the University of Kansas in 2020. He specializes in ancient philosophy and ethics and has developed an interest in AI over time, especially after rubbing shoulders with so many other philosophers at KU and USU that work on the subject.
Amanda Dawson, Ph.D. (she/her), is an Assistant Professor of Theatre and Head of the BFA Theatre Education Program at Utah State University. Amanda is a director and dramaturg who teaches courses in theatre history, contemporary theatre, and theatre education. In her work, she studies theatre pedagogy, dramaturgy, and representations of the United States military and veterans on stage. In her free time, she loves to camp and hike and is not afraid to admit that Bud Light is her favorite beer.
